Dr. Philippe Diercxsens has a PhD in sciences, option ecotoxicology from the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne - Switzerland.
Professional career
From January 1988 till April 1991, Dr. Diercxsens worked as Environment Laboratory Manager at SGS DEPAUW & STOKOE n.v. (Environmental control activities). He then joined SPADEL s.a. (production of mineral water and non alcoholic beverages) as Packaging & Environment Manager for 5 years. Between June 1996 and December 1998, he has been Packaging Waste Prevention Director at Fost Plus (packaging waste management). Since January 1999, he is working for DANONE. He first acted as Environment and Food Regulatory Affairs Manager for Danone Finance Benelux before becoming Packaging & Environment Manager in February 2006 at DANONE BEVERAGES DIVISION (production of mineral water and non alcoholic beverages).
Dr. Diercxsens is also chairing a series of Professional Federations and Associations:
- Chairman of the Sustainable Consumption & Production Work Group of Business Europe.
- Chairman of the Joint UNESDA/EFBW Environment Committee (Union of European Beverages Associations and European Federation of Bottled Water).
- Chairman of The Alliance for Plastic Beverage Containers Sustainability (Recycled plastics in food contact application).
- Chairman of the Packaging Work Group of ANIA (French Food Industry Federation).
