Born in 1942, Ljubljana, Mrs Drčar Murko graduated in 1965 from Ljubljana Law School, and finished her Masters degree in Law (international law and international relations) at the University of Zagreb, Croatia in 1973.
Professional career
Mrs Drčar Murko is a member of the European Parliament’s Environment Committee. She is also a substitute member of the Committee on Regional Development and of the EU-Croatia Delegation. Currently, she is known for her involvement in European Parliament Environment Committee debates on waste management.
Before becoming an MEP, Ms Drčar Murko was a journalist for several Slovene newspapers, magazines and other publications. She became an MEP in Slovenia’s first elections for the European Parliament in 2004.
