Erwin Vink earned a Bachelor’s degree from the Higher Laboratory School in Breda, Netherlands and a Master’s degree in Chemistry from Utrecht University, Netherlands.

Professional career
Mr Vink first worked part-time for Cargill Dow LLC (today's NatureWorks LLC) in 1996 focusing on the environmental aspects of the life cycle of NatureWorks® biopolymers. He then joined NatureWorks LLC in November 2000 on a full-time basis, as an Environmental Affairs Manager working in the area of LCA, environment and sustainability. He is also a board member of European Bioplastics.

Before joining NatureWorks he worked in various functions for the Dow Chemical Company, Netherlands.
